Published Aug 29, 2007

The Lanier Branch of the Quality Deer Management Association (QDMA) will hold its Third Annual Sportsmen’s Banquet at 6:00PM on September 20, 2007. The event will be held at the Chattahoochee Country Club, 3000 Club Drive, Gainesville, GA 30506.

Doors open at 6:00PM, followed by dinner at 7:00PM. Dinner will be followed by several raffles, and both live and silent auctions. Prizes and items up for bid include various hunts, firearms, bows, knives, collectibles, wildlife art, hunting equipment and much more. A portion of the proceeds raised will go to benefit the Lanier Branch Hunters for the Hungry Venison Donation Program. This program pays for the processing of donated venison. Once the venison is processed, it is distributed free to local area charities. Last year, over 1800 pounds of venison was donated to six local area charities, including Good News at Noon, Gainesville City Baptist Rescue Mission, Set Free Ministries, and Chattahoochee Baptist Mission.

Tickets are only $55 for adults, $75 for couples, and $250 for sponsors. Tickets are available by calling Rick Walters at 678-316-2435 or Sean Ryan at 770-757-0384. All tickets include dinner and a one-year QDMA membership.

The Quality Deer Management Association is a non-profit wildlife conservation organization dedicated to ensuring a high-quality and sustainable future for white-tailed deer and white-tailed deer hunting. Founded in 1988, the QDMA currently has over 40,000 members in 49 states and several foreign countries including over 800 deer management professionals - more than any other white-tailed deer organization.

The QDMA has developed numerous partnerships with state wildlife agencies, timber companies, hunting groups, and product manufacturers. These partnerships have increased both the awareness of the QDMA and participation in the Association's management philosophy, Quality Deer Management (QDM). Without question, the QDMA is rapidly becoming the most respected and influential white-tailed deer organization in the United States. Membership in QDMA is open to anyone committed to ethical hunting, sound deer management and preservation of the deer-hunting heritage. To learn more about the QDMA and how it can help your hunting, call 800-209-DEER or visit www.QDMA.com.
