The Atlanta Hawks will wear permanent black shoulder patches on their uniforms to honor teammate Jason Collier. The 28-year-old center died early Saturday after he had trouble breathing while sleeping at his Lake Lanier home.
Forsyth County Coroner Lauren McDonald III said Sunday that the autopsy has been performed but other tests are needed.
The funeral for Collier will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at All Saints Catholic Church in Dunwoody. Visitation will take place 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at McDonald and Son Funeral Home in Cumming.
Collier was a seven-foot, 260-pound player. General manager Billy Knight says Collier had "no issues" in a pre-season physical given to all players. Collier's agent, Richard Howell, says his client was in good shape.
