Forsyth County and the Sharon Springs Athletic Association are again offering recreational girls fast pitch softball for the spring season. You may recall the excitement during last year’s Olympics as the US Women’s Softball Team went undefeated to capture the gold medal. This enthusiasm is energizing the sport and more girls are participating every year and not just at the recreational level. All-star, travel, and high school teams continue to grow as do the number of Colleges that participate in the sport.

Sharon Springs offers fast pitch beginning at age 5. In addition to the recreational program, Sharon Springs fields travel teams for advanced players. Each season includes a tune up clinic conducted by professional instructors to help the girls build fundamentals including hitting, throwing, catching and pitching. Coach’s clinics ensure that the level of instruction remains high throughout the season. Registration begins January 15 at South Forsyth Middle School for all age groups.
