The Tailwater Chapter of Trout Unlimited is holding its Annual Banquet on November 5th at the Chattahoochee River Club Clubhouse. This is the same day as the North Georgia Trout Online (NGTO) fling at the Hatchery (8:30 a.m. - 2 p.m.), the organization's annual fundraiser. Both events promise great fun and include great food, prizes, silent auctions, seminars and more.
Admission to the Tailwater Chapter of Trout Unlimited Annual Banquet is $15 per person or $25 per couple. The event will include bucket raffles and silent auctions and will begin with hors d'oeuvres at 5:30pm. Dinner will be served at 6:45pm.
More information on the Tailwater Chapter of Trout Unlimited can be found at the following site:

If you would like to do a Smallmouth trip, you can do it on the Pigeon, Little Pigeon, Upper Holston, or Nolichucky. These are tentative locations. TWO RODS TO BE BUILT BY MIKE MARKEY
Mike has been generous enough to offer to build two custom rods. These will be offered as separate auctions. The buyer would need to supply all components of their choice (blank, guides, seat, grip and winding check, if desired). He will supply thread and adhesives and feathers for inlays if desired. Mike will guide the winner through purchasing parts so all components work together and that you get a quality rod. An example of his inlays can be seen at www.rodbuildingforum.com.
