45th Annual Atlanta Boat Show Coming to Atlanta January 10 - 14

45-Cent Admission for All 45-Year-Olds!

The 45th Annual Atlanta Boat Show returns to Georgia Jan. 10-14, 2007. As the state’s largest boating exhibition, the 2007 show will feature the latest and greatest in boating products and accessories.

The Atlanta Boat Show takes over Hall C of the Georgia World Congress Center for five days with a nautical extravaganza. Visitors can see all that the boating lifestyle has to offer, complete with the newest powerboats, fishing boats, sailboats, houseboats, personal watercraft, engines, electronics and marine accessories from more than 300 exhibitors. Approximately 40,000 attendees visit the Atlanta Boat Show each year where boat shopping is made easy through a vast selection of marine craft and accessories all in one place at the best prices available all year long.

To help celebrate its 45th anniversary, the 2007 Atlanta Boat Show is also admitting any individual who is 45 years old for just 45 cents each day of the show (proof of age required).

The 2007 Atlanta Boat Show schedule is:

Wednesday-Friday, Jan. 10-12: 11 a.m. - 9 p.m.

Saturday, Jan. 13: 10 a.m. - 9 p.m.

Sunday, Jan. 14: 10 a.m. - 6 p.m.

Advance e-tickets go on sale Dec. 1 at www.AtlantaBoatShow.com. Adult tickets are $8 each; and youth, ages 13-15, are $4. Children 12 and under are admitted for free, making the Atlanta Boat Show even more affordable for families to enjoy. Tickets also will be on sale at the show. Houseboat Row – Back by popular demand is Houseboat Row with five, fully furnished, custom-decorated houseboats lined up outside the World Congress Center on Northside Drive, with an additional houseboat inside, so visitors can see how truly grand living on the water can be. Houseboats are provided by Sumerset Houseboats, Thoroughbred House Boats, Bote Werks-Fantasy Houseboats, Destination Yachts and The House Boat Store. If you haven’t seen this jaw-dropping display, don’t miss the spectacular houseboats on Houseboat Row.

Pontoon Boat Giveaway! The Atlanta Boat Show and Atlanta Inboard will give away a new 2007 Crest Pontoon Boat, trailer and engine, valued at more than $25,000, to one lucky show-goer. Attendees can register to win at the show, with the winner’s name drawn on Sunday, Jan. 14.

New Boat Buyers Program – The first 200 new boat buyers at the show each win a $50 gift certificate from Boater’s World. This is a great way to get started on purchasing boating accessories.

Take Me Fishing Center Presented by Honda Marine – Debuting at the 2007 Atlanta Boat Show is the “Take Me Fishing Center” created by the National Marine Manufacturers Association and the Recreational Boating & Fishing Foundation. This is an educational and entertaining consumer showcase that promotes freshwater, saltwater and fly fishing. Suitable for novice to advanced fishermen (and women), Take Me Fishing will feature guest speakers, seminars, casting demonstrations, interactive displays, training, new products, information on local clubs and fishing hot spots, hands-on activities for kids, and much more. Local fishing pros and nationally recognized fishermen Charlie Ingram from OLN’s Fishing University and Ray Brazier of the Honda Fishing Team will make special appearances.

How to “Talk Dog” – Think you know how to talk to your dog? This year’s show features a unique attraction: “How to Talk Dog.” Begun as a way to teach dogs how to rescue people in the water, the training program offers a simple and straightforward approach for communicating with your canine. This program has been featured on “Late Night with David Letterman” as well as “Pet Stars” and is also a favorite at outdoor, wildlife and boat shows across the United States. Come learn how to “talk dog” at the ’07 Atlanta Boat Show.

Discover Boating Patch Program – Scouts and youth groups can earn their Discover Boating Patch by visiting the interactive learning stations located throughout the show. The patch program is designed to give kids educational information and experience in outdoor ethics, boating basics, boating lingo and fishing. Allstate Safety Weekend – On Saturday and Sunday, Jan. 13-14, children receive free lifejackets from Allstate Boatowners' Insurance (while quantities last).

Kids’ Zone – Catch the fun in the Kids’ Zone where young ones can experience the excitement of catching a bass or trout while fishing from a boat. There will also be a casting contest every day with awards and trophies for the winners. And little tots can play in the new “Submarine Ball” and “Fun Boat.” All this, plus a daily coloring contest for more fun prizes.

Sailing Seminars – Any sailor will tell you that sailing is more than a sport, it's a way of life. There will be daily seminars presented by Windsong Sailing Academy and Blackbeard Sailing School.

What’s New, What’s Hot – As the best place to find cutting-edge products, the 2007 show will feature a new product showcase with hundreds of new products, including boats, engines, trailers and accessories.

Parade of Prizes – The Parade of Prizes will have dozens of prize giveaways at the show, including boat rentals, a Honda generator, subscriptions to boating publications, a 2-horsepower Honda engine, fishing charters and more.
