WXIA-TV (11Alive), WATL-TV (myAtlTV) and Comcast are purchasing the remaining Falcons tickets to their home opener against the Detroit Lions this Sunday, September 7th in The Georgia Dome at 1 p.m. The tickets will go to The Metro Atlanta Chapter of The American Red Cross and The Boys and Girls Clubs of Metro Atlanta.

The Metro Atlanta Red Cross is distributing game day tickets to evacuees of Hurricane Gustav who remain in Atlanta and to the volunteers who worked tirelessly in support of the evacuation effort. Additionally, tickets will go to The Boys and Girls Clubs of Metro Atlanta, giving area children an opportunity to see Matt Ryan’s debut as quarterback of the new Atlanta Falcons.

“11Alive and myAtlTV have a long history of celebrating volunteerism with our Community Service Awards. Our partnership with the Falcons and Comcast gave us a unique opportunity to give those volunteers and friends and neighbors impacted by Gustav an opportunity to support our hometown Falcons in person.” said Bob Walker, President and General Manager of WXIA and WATL-TV. “We are also thrilled to help the Boys and Girls Clubs to bring some of our young people to see the kickoff of the NFL season in Atlanta.”
