Thank You Forsyth County Republican Party
Oftentimes we forget to say thank you when it is well deserved. It is so easy to pass up the opportune time in this cluttered world to offer gratitude when a little praise would place in the minds of the receiver the strength to continue.
Our lives are so filled with the day-to-day rush that it prevents us from relaxing long enough to actually think about what is it that our neighbors have unselfishly done for us. I sat here at this keyboard last night pondering what ultimate direction this political gambit would take us in.
Many times that search for truth has caused me to wander off into unknown territory...it still does.
I have been arrested and jailed because of my fight against corruption, my home was raided by the GBI, I had my possessions confiscated along with my wife's, I had unscrupulous lawyers try to set me up, I have been dragged through court proceeding scores of times, I've had dishonest judges do their best to do me in, but I'm still standing as bullheaded as ever. In fact, I'm a much stronger Citizen because of it. I know now that they are only as strong as I allow them to be. The leadership of the Republican Party has fared somewhat better but anyone with clear vision can see the road they now travel is exactly the same one I was forced to tread.
Corruption has a way of hemming you in. Expect it, prepare for it, it's inevitable.
Times have drastically changed. It is very difficult to stand your ground with truth at your side. There was once a time when this was seen as honorable, forthright, and loyalist. That was before the days of men like the ones who publish lies like the Forsyth County News does. Good is now perceived as evil and evil as good. It is very difficult to deal with this twist of morally. Only the strongest among us can withstand it.
The attacks upon the leadership of our Republican Party are unjustified, they are immoral, and they are deceptive. Standing for the truth is dangerous ground these days, as it was during the time of our Founding Fathers. If you are brave enough, or stupid enough in some weaker eyes to go this route, you should know that to do so will make you enemies, it will tax your ability to think clearly, it will test your will.
I know what I am talking about, as I have lived this unsettling life for eight long arduous years. I might not have been totally right in every battle that I fought, but I am right overall in the fighting this war against corruption. Our Party has what it takes to see us through this period in our history that demands a hard-line against corruption, as seen within the ranks of the School Board and other county offices. I trust my Party to do the right thing. I couldn't always say that in the past. If they make mistakes along this endeavor then we'll cross that bridge when we get to it.
Someone paid to me a very kind compliment the other day. It was from a person I have a high regard for. It made my day. Not that I actually deserved it but simply the fact that someone was kind enough to remember what I might have done to make things better here. I truly feel the need to pass along such things to those deserving it.
Thank you so much to those of you who lead the Republican Party, for your unselfish devotion of your time and your willpower. I know firsthand how difficult this is for you. I too wish that everyone loved me and thought that what I do is worthwhile, but this not to be. You will have your detractors, you will have those such as the Forsyth County News who unceasingly defend the indefensible and attack you as they lie and omit to protect the guilty.
You members of my Party are in my prayers and in my daily thoughts of how we can collectively work towards a mutual goal of Truth and Justice.
There are many of us who think you are brave enough and intelligent enough to lead us in the way we should go. Never let those of the dishonest Forsyth County News ilk persuade you differently. They are Godless men with no backbone or integrity, a far cry from what you so bravely stand for. I truly admire what you have successfully accomplished. May God bless you all.
