I have two children, ages 21 and 25, at which point you are so thankful to have gotten them to these ages safely.  If there is any way to express my most sincere sympathies to the Emerson family, please pass this on to them.

I will truly think of Meredith often even though I never knew her.  Her passing is such a tragic reminder that none of us are aware of what the next day brings.
