As you've probably read and heard in the news, July 1, 2008 ushered in several new laws in Georgia. We'd like to take a moment to publicly commend and express gratitude to our State Representative and neighbor, Amos Amerson for the great work he has performed for the citizens (and farmers) of Georgia. He really did a great job.
We've been truly struggling for several legislative sessions to advance our direct shipping laws to better serve Georgians and the many visitors to our farm wineries. You have to know that every time we called on Amos, he was in our corner thoughtfully helping with solutions, educating the political structure at the capitol, staging meetings with lawmakers, the revenue department, and winegrowers to discuss the creation of legislation to update Georgia wine laws. Amos is a good man who is a true statesman. That's rare in today's world.
Thanks Amos. Job Well Done!
Sincerely,
Sharon and Doug Paul,
Three Sisters Vineyards & Winery,
