The overall pass rate on AP tests during the 2009-2010 school year was 85% for all Pinecrest Academy students.

During the 2009-2010 academic year, Pinecrest Academy high school students were enrolled in fourteen AP courses, including: AP Studio Art, AP English Language & Composition, AP English Literature & Composition, AP Spanish Language, AP Spanish Literature, AP Calculus AB and Calculus BC, AP Statistics, AP Chemistry, AP Physics B, AP Comparative Government & Politics, AP European History, and AP U. The overall pass rate (scores of 3, 4, or 5) was 85% for all students.  The top state scores for 2009 (the last year that all national scores have been published) were New Hampshire and Massachusetts with a 72% pass rate. The pass rate for all Georgia schools was 54%.

Some of Pinecrest’s notable achievements this year include a 100% pass rate for AP European History (taught by Mr. Chris Kane), a 100% pass rate for AP Studio Art (taught by Miss Alison Batley), a 100% pass rate for Spanish Literature (taught by Mrs. Ana Garcia), a 100% pass rate for Chemistry (taught by Dr. Daniel Piper) and a 100% pass rate for U.
