Forsyth/Dawson Public Safety Benefit Basketball Tournament

Enjoy the fun as four local agencies play in a benefit basketball tournament this Saturday, December 6, to help two public safety workers. The proceeds raised by the tournament will help Mickey Gilbertson, an eight-year veteran of Dawson County Sheriff’s Office, and the husband of Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office Evidence Clerk Jane Gilbertson; and Tony Lanton, the husband of Sherry Lanton who is employed by Forsyth County 911 Center. Both spouses face serious medical problems and all proceeds will be divided between the two families.

Benefit Basketball Tournament Location:

Forsyth Central High School Gymnasium
518 Tribble Gap Road in Cumming, GA

Benefit Basketball Tournament Schedule:

11:30 a.m. Activities begin
12:30 p.m. First game: Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office vs. Forsyth County Fire Department
2 p.m. Second game: Dawson County Sheriff’s Office vs. Dawson County Fire Department
3:30 p.m. Championship: winner of first game vs. winner of second game

Admission is $5 for adults and $2 for children. The tournament will feature concessions, children’s activities, cake auction, raffle and more.
