Dawson County and Dawson Community News are excited to present Dawson Day Thunder in the Sky Fireworks Extravaganza and Independence Day Celebration on Friday, July 3, 2009, at Rock Creek Park, 5 p.m. till midnight.

Sponsorships of the event are now available. According to Cathy Brooks, Government and Community Affairs representative for Dawson County, "This event provides a great opportunity to generate visibility for your brand to thousands of community members, and to build good will through your association with this fun, high-profile event."  Sponsorships are limited, so all are encouraged to sign up as soon as possible for this exciting opportunity.

Tentative family activities include fireworks, children’s activities, music, entertainment, food, demonstrations by Dawson County Emergency Services, Sheriff’s Office and other county departments, culminating in a movie on the lawn.  Other events will be announced soon.
