Cumming Pawn Shop Robbed of Guns

Published May 12, 2008

DawsonTimes.com has received reports that a pawn shop near downtown Cumming was broken into this morning, and several guns were stolen.

Robbers allegedly entered through the back door of the store.  Evidently, when escaping, they crashed their car near North Forsyth High School and left with the stolen weapons on foot.  It is purported that the suspects are circled in an area by North Forsyth High School.  This morning, Hwy. 9 was closed down to one lane, and fire trucks and sheriffs were searching the fields

Schools were under lockdown from about 7:40 to 9:10 a.m. -- outer doors and classroom doors were locked, but all students were able to change classes under adult supervision.

The suspects are still at large.
