Ruth Hall

Ruth Hall, 80, of Dawsonville died Tuesday April 29, 2008 at Embracing Hospice following an extended illness.

Born in Pickens County, Mrs. Hall moved from Cobb County to Dawson County thirty-seven years ago. She spent over forty-one years in banking. Thirty-five of those years were with Jasper Banking Company where she retired in 1990 as Head Cashier. She was a member of McKees Chapel United Methodist Church where she was active in the U.M.W. and she enjoyed reading, travel and gardening. Mrs. Hall was preceded in death by her husband of 37 years, W. J. Hall; parents, Andrew and Lula Jones and a brother, Bill Jones.

Surviving are her sisters, Kate Bunch, Jasper, Jewel Cribb, Marietta; brothers and sister -n-law, James J. Jones, Jasper, Gene and Ann Jones, Talking Rock; sisters in law, Gladiola Nickerson, Dawsonville, Jimmie Chester, Dawsonville, Virginia Jones, Jasper, nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Funeral services will be held Thursday May 1, 2008 at 2 o’clock at McKees Chapel United Methodist Church. Rev. Sven Mossinger will officiate. Interment will follow in the Dawsonville City Cemetery.

The family will receive friends after 5 p.m. Wednesday afternoon at the funeral home.
