Robert T. “Bobby” Jones, 63, of Dawsonville died Sunday July 20, 2008 at his residence following a period of declining health.

Born in Fulton County, he had lived in Dawson County for over ten years having moved from Douglasville. Mr. Jones was a retired manager with the Atlanta Journal and Constitution and was preceded in death by his parents, Otis and Ruby Jones, and a sister, Linda Geraldine Jones.

Surviving are his sons, Brent Jones, Atlanta, Robert T. “Timmy” Jones, Austell; sister, Sandra Bryan, Dawsonville; brothers, Johnny Jones, Lilburn, Harold Jones, Austell, Gene Brooks, Woodstock; special friends, Stephanie and Terry Ware, Dallas.

Memorial services will be held Saturday August 2, 2008 at 11 o’clock at Bearden Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Mike Owens will officiate.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
