September 22, 1945- July 2, 2008 

Nancy Copeland, 62, of Cumming died Tuesday July 2, 2008 at her home following a period of illness.

Mrs. Copeland was born in Birmingham, Alabama and grew up in Center, Alabama.   She was a Cumming resident for the past 23 years. Mrs. Copeland was a homemaker and a member of True Way Baptist Church.

Mrs. Copeland was preceded in death by her parents Marion and Rosa Gardner and her brother Billy Joe Gardner. Surviving are her husband of 45 years Jack Copeland of Cumming; children, Lisa Renee Lewin,  of Cumming, Russell and Jennifer Copeland of Cumming, Steven Copeland of Cumming, Michael Copeland of Buford; sisters, Barbara Koziol of Brunswick, GA, Betty Simons of Ball Ground, Carol Tanner of Rockmart; brother, Darrell Gardner of Acworth; 12 grandchildren and 1 great grandson.

Funeral services for Mrs. Copeland will be held Saturday July 5, 2008 at 11:00 am in the Bearden Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Cecil Wheeler, Rev. James Phillips and Rev. Todd McGhee will officiate.   Interment will follow at Dawsonville Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive visitors at the Funeral Home Thursday July 3^rd from 4:00 pm until 9:00pm and Friday July 4^th from 12:00 noon until 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm
