Miriam Rittenbaum, 92, passed away Thursday, July 10, 2008. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother, daughter and sister. She was a homemaker who loved playing cards and mahjong with her friends, and doing volunteer work.
She was predeceased by her loving husband, Max Rittenbaum, and is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Ellen and Dr. Allen Rosenthal, son and daughter-in-law, Jeff and Daniela Rittenbaum; grandchildren: Taran, Morgaine, Feliza and Cerece Rosenthal, and her partner, Marie Hwang, Craig, Chad, and Samuel Rittenbaum; her sisters, Celia Simon and Vera Janko, and many nieces and nephews, as well as Elaine Rittenbaum, and her loving caregiver, Beverley Rainford.
Graveside services were held Sunday, July 13, 2008, at 11:00 a.m. at Arlington Memorial Park with Rabbi Mark H. Kunis, officiating. Contributions, in lieu of flowers, may be made to Congregation Shaarei Shamayim, 1810 Briarcliff Road, Atlanta, GA 30329.
