Mark Jorgensen, 47, of Dawsonville died Sunday June 8, 2008 at the Atlanta Medical Center following an extended illness.
Born in Beaver, PA, he grew up in Hingham, Mass. And was a 1979 graduate of Hingham High School. He attended Embry-Riddle University in Daytona, FL and relocated to Georgia in 1981. Mark was a master plumber and owned Jorgensen Plumbing in Marietta after which he was employed by the Gwinnett County Building Inspections Department. Along with spending time with his daughters, Mark was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, golf, fishing and boating.
Surviving are his daughters, Jennifer Jorgensen (age 13), and Elissa Jorgensen (age 6), of Marietta; parents, Al and Carole Jorgensen, Dawsonville; sister and brother in law, Lora and Lincoln Havens, Wake Forest, NC; two nephews, a niece and other relatives.
Memorial services will be held Saturday June 28, 2008 at 11 oclock at Bearden Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Larry Paton will officiate.
