Marjorie Weaver Davidson, 70, of Dawsonville died Wednesday October 1, 2008 at her residence following a period of declining health.

Born in Dawson County, she graduated from Dawson County High School and moved to Atlanta where she worked as a secretary in the carpet industry.  She later worked as a real estate agent and moved back to Dawson County in 1986.  Mrs. Davidson was of the Baptist faith and was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest “Dave” Davidson; parents, John and Maude Weaver; sister, Mildred Smith; and brothers, Gordon Weaver and Robert Weaver.

Surviving are her son, Jimmy Weaver, Dawsonville; brothers and sisters in law, Buddy Weaver, Dawsonville, Kenneth and Pauline Weaver, Dawsonville, Margie Weaver, Dawsonville, Shirley Weaver, Dawsonville, nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Funeral services will be held Friday October 3, 2008 at 3 o’ clock at Bearden Funeral Home Chapel.  Rev. Tommy Ross will officiate.  Interment will follow in Moss Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends after 5:30 Thursday afternoon at the funeral home.
