June Shaw, 71, of Dawsonville died June 21, 2008 at her residence following an extended illness.

Born in Barnesville, GA, Mrs. Shaw had lived in Dawson County for 29 years having moved from Sugar Hill. She was formerly employed at Loveable in Buford. After moving to Dawson County, along with her husband they owned and operated Shaw Automotive and Transmission. June was an active member of Sweetwater Baptist Church and was preceded in death by her son, Jeffery Davis, parents, Edgar and Lucille Nolan, grandson, Robert Jones and sister, Linda Polk.

Surviving are her husband, Cliff Shaw, Dawsonville; children, Ann and Pat Allen, Cumming, Russell Davis, Gainesville, Alicia Davenport, Dawsonville, Tammy Davis Shope, Dawsonville, Cliff Shaw, III, Dawsonville, Robert and Janie Shaw, Tucker, Gerald Shaw, Doraville; sisters, Wanda Cummings, Newborn, Audrey Price, Rutledge; brother, Edgar Nolan, Porterdale, 20 grandchildren, several great grandchildren and other relatives.

Funeral services will be held Monday June 23, 2008 at 2 o’clock at Sweetwater Baptist Church. Rev. Mark Flowers and Rev. William Blackwell will officiate. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends after 7 pm Saturday and all day Sunday at the funeral home.
