Allen Pruett, 53, of Dawsonville died Thursday May 15, 2008 at his residence following a period of declining health.
A native of Florida, he had lived in Dawson County for the past 25 years. Mr. Pruett owned and operated Dawsonville Towing Service for 15 years, driving a wrecker that was known as “Romeo.” He also owned a garage and a bobcat service.
Surviving are his wife, Rita Pruett, Dawsonville; daughters, Alesia Pruett, Dawsonville, Christina Boles, Arizona; sons, Dustin Pruett, Dawsonville, Roy Derek Pruett, Dawsonville, brothers, Deward Pruett, Florida, William Pruett, California; grandmother, Marian Akers, Florida; adopted father, J. H. Pruett, Dawsonville, and three grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Sunday May 18, 2008 at 2 o’clock at Bearden Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Rodney Pilcher will officiate. The interment will follow in Dawsonville Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends after 2 p.m. Friday afternoon and all day Saturday at the funeral home.
