Georgia Republican Party Chairman Sue Everhart has chastised Democratic nominee Jim Martin and exposed what she says is the truth about his attacks on U.S. Senator Saxby Chambliss.
“Even when the liberal Democrats write it for him, Martin still gets it wrong,” Chairman of the Georgia GOP Sue Everhart said. “Saxby Chambliss stood up to Jim’s liberal friends and voted against their bloated budget, massive tax hikes and rampant federal spending. And now it should be clear to everyone that Jim Martin is nothing more than a mouth piece for Washington Democrats.”
According to the GOP, Wednesday afternoon, Martin gathered reporters outside his campaign office, read from a short, written statement and then retreated back into his campaign office, refusing to take questions – a stark contrast from the press conference Chambliss held that morning in which he spoke openly and fielded numerous questions from the press for more than 30 minutes.
In his prepared statement, Martin allegedly accused Chambliss of supporting the Democrats 2009 Budget Resolution which included the largest tax hike in our nation’s history, out of control government spending, and a $2 trillion increase in our national debt. Chambliss voted against the measure and blasted Democrats for raising taxes for the second year in a row.
The GOP maintains that Martin’s wrongful accusation of Chambliss, as well as his failure to hold his fellow tax-and-spend Democrats responsible for their reckless 2009 Budget Resolution, is further evidence that Martin’s campaign is being run and financed by Washington Democrats who have no interest in fiscal responsibility.
“The policies of Jim Martin’s liberal Washington friends are breaking the backs of Georgia families,” Everhart continued. “Jim Martin would do nothing but vote lock step with the liberals in Washington who are promising to finance his campaign, and he would waste no time in joining with his liberal New York friends to raise our taxes and drive our nation further into debt. We need Saxby Chambliss in the U.S. Senate to continue fighting against the out-of-control, liberal, tax-and-spend Democrats.”

The comments from Ms. Everhart are in poor taste, and ludicrous!
Who does she think financed Senator Chambliss' campaign for his first term?
Has she read this month's reports on our U.S. economy, 'Republican Corporate America', and how they are treating families in Georgia?
What is a liberal, anyway? I am certainly not one!
