Dawson County Tax Commissioner Announces Improved Services

Published Jul 31, 2008

Dawson County Tax Commissioner Linda G. Townley is proud to announce two upcoming changes to provide improved services for citizens while conserving energy and reducing fuel costs for both citizens and employees.

“Beginning August 4, 2008, this office will have new hours,” said Townley. “We will now be open from 7:30 am until 5:30 pm every weekday,” she continued. “We are happy to announce improved services for the citizens of Dawson County,” said Townley. “The staff will be working four 10 hour days, thus saving fuel costs.” The extended hours also offer more after-work access for citizens.

“Also, beginning in late August, citizens will be able to renew vehicle registration online,” announced Townley. Online renewals not only offer convenience but also encourage fuel savings for the citizens. “Providing continuous excellent service while offering cost-saving alternatives and conserving energy is essential,” she said.
