Special Pre-Harvest Winemaker Dinner With Stefano Salvini

Published Aug 13, 2008

Montaluce Estate and Vineyards is pleased to announce that it will host a winemaker dinner with Italian winemaker Stefano Salvini on Saturday evening, August 23 at 7 p.m.

Salvini is the lead winemaker for Montaluce and will arrive at the Estate from his home in Italy in early August to begin preparations for the winery's first premier crush. Salvini is "thrilled with this new venture and the wines that will be produced and released next year at Montaluce."

For the dinner on August 23rd, Salvini will welcome guests in the vineyard for a reception where he'll lead an informal discussion of harvest and the status of the crops. Guests will enjoy mingling with him and sampling the wines of his recent project--Campodelsole, Emilia-Romagna, Italy.

Guests will then return to the beautiful dining room at Le Vigne where Executive Chef Steve Hewins will present a sumptuous four-course menu alongside additional Campodelsole wines.

Salvini is also head winemaker at Campodelsole where he makes wines that capture the essence of the 160-acre vineyard in Bertinoro that is planted mostly to Sangiovese, with Bombino Bianco, Albana, Badia Vecchia. Like Montaluce, the Campodelsole winery is architecturally stunning and a place where technology meets tradition. Salvini is dedicated to creating rich, delightful wines, with elegance and respect for the land.

Cost per person for the evening at Montaluce is $85, inclusive of tax and gratuity.
