Winter Story Times at Chestatee Regional Library System

The winter session of children’s programs has begun at Chestatee Regional Library System. Dawson and Lumpkin County libraries offer several story time programs for various age groups. Programs are free and open to the public, though we do ask groups of 10 or more to call ahead. 

Lapsit is a 15-20 minute program promoting learning, playing, and developing language and motor skills. Consists of rhymes, songs, fingerplays, action verses, and simple stories.

Dawson County

Thursdays, January 10-February 14, 2008 at 11 a.m.

Lumpkin County

Tuesdays, January 8-February 12, 2008 at 11 a.m. 

Toddler Time is a program for 2-3 year olds consisting of sharing books, songs, and fingerplays that support weekly themes.

Wednesdays, January 9-February 13, 2008 at 11 a.m. 

Preschool/Afternoon Story Time is a 1-hour program consisting of books, songs, and fingerplays that support weekly themes. Movement activities and crafts are tailored for ages 4-5 in the morning and for all ages in the afternoon.

Dawson County

Wednesdays, January 9-February 13, 2008 at 11 a.m. and 4 p.m.

Lumpkin County

Thursdays, January 10-February 14, 2008 at 11 a.m. and 4 p.m.
