Wind Advisory in Effect at Noon

The National Weather Service in Peachtree City has issued a wind advisory, which is in effect from noon today (5/11/06) till 6 pm this evening.

A cold front will move across the area today. Winds will increase behind the front to 20 mph over many areas for part of the afternoon.

A wind advisory means that sustained winds of 20 to 35 mph or wind gusts of at least 35 mph are expected. Boaters and drivers are urged to take appropriate precautions.
