Whispering Hope Women’s Resource and Pregnancy Center will hold the Sixth Annual Fundraising Banquet at the beautiful Lakeview Banquet Hall in Dawsonville, Georgia on October 18th, 2007.

This year’s feature speaker is Representative Bobby Franklin District 43 (R) speaking on House Bill 93, which calls for “The State of Georgia to have the duty to protect all innocent life from the moment of conception until natural death.”  You'll also hear from women who have come to Whispering Hope and how their lives, and the lives of their children, have been changed through the love and compassion of the Christian community.

Whispering Hope is a not for profit organization offering free limited clinical tests for women experiencing an untimely pregnancy, as well as support and information about options. Whispering Hope is dedicated to inform, educate, and provide an outstretched hand to women faced with an untimely pregnancy.  Staff and volunteers offer confidential, one-on-one support as well as services and referrals at no charge to the client.

Whispering Hope works with women in Forsyth and surrounding communities to help them become self sufficient and confident by offering emotional support, educational goals and job skills training.

Each woman is mentored throughout her pregnancy and birth to assure that she has a stable foundation for herself and her baby.
Whispering Hope helps single mothers, low income mothers and teen mothers in need with a food bank and clothing closet.  The center also helps single moms provide Christmas for their children. Plus, center supporters work with the Forsyth County school system to teach abstinence education to our youth in our local middle schools and high schools.

The annual fundraising banquet is one of the two main fundraisers we hold every year to earn money towards our overhead.  Overhead costs not only include rent and utilities, but also supplies for our many programs offered at no cost to the clients who come here.  These programs include: prenatal lessons through all three trimesters, child birth and Lamaze courses, parenting skills and classes, computer training, job skills training with resume writing, setting up interviews with H&H Staffing to place the client in employment, referrals to child care at low or no cost to the parent, budgeting, YoungMoms2B group, CARES (Character, Accountability and Responsibility through Education and Spiritual Development), which allows these women to use a point system to purchase their baby furniture and maternity clothing, the cost to the center for the supplies for pregnancy testing and STD testing, ultrasound supplies, Bible study supplies, office supplies and even at times, financial support for women in a desperate crisis who may need rental assistance, utility assistance, or even gas for their vehicles to take their babies for doctor visits.  We work closely with each client, even referring her to housing if needed.  Anything that will in the end, help her to become self sufficient and build good self esteem.

As you can see from all of the services listed above, this banquet is very important for the center to stay afloat.  Although we always know that God is ultimately in control of all, we also know that he gives us the resources we need to continue His work.  Whispering Hope is His center.  And as good stewards, we must go forward to bring these women to Jesus Christ through servanthood.

Right now, our table hosts are down from last year, and we need your support.  You do not have to host a table to attend the banquet.  But reservations are a must, so that we can get an accurate head count for the dinner plates. Your last chance to RSVP is October 15th, so give us call today!

From Ga 400 North, go to Dawson Forest Road (the road before the Dawsonville Mall) and take a left, travel about 1 to 1 ½ miles and Lakeview Banquet Hall is on the right hand side of the road.  Seating begins at 6:45 p.m. with the banquet starting promptly at 7:00 p.m.
