Pat Zuckerman, owner and operator of Timber Creek Kitchens in Dawsonville, has many words of wisdom to share when you take a few minutes to speak with her. And she should. A 25-year veteran in the home building industry with an abundance of industry-wide knowledge and experience with residential construction, she knows a lot about good kitchen layout and quality cabinetry.
If you’ve ever built a new home or had your kitchen cabinets remodeled, you may cringe at the thought of ever tackling such a project again. My personal experience in having custom cabinets built a few years ago makes me shudder to even recall the ‘pain’ we endured to get them right.
So it’s pretty comforting to know that Timber Creek Kitchens is right here in Dawsonville with a track record that will make any customer rest easy. According to Zuckerman, “Timber Creek Kitchens’ goal is to make sure its customers are treated properly during the order process, as well as happy with the end result. Customer satisfaction is our top priority.”
Typically, when a homeowner is designing a kitchen, he or she already has something visual in mind, and cabinets can make or break the entire look of a kitchen. Zuckerman and her staff know this and enter each job with the customer’s desires as top priority. “Our designers take great pains to make sure each kitchen is designed to meet the needs of the owner and to create as much visual excitement as possible,” explains Zuckerman.
“Timber Creek Kitchens is very careful to set the proper expectations during the remodel process, and we make every effort to minimize inconveniences while completing the work in a timely manner,” she continues.
“Unlike most cabinet companies, when Timber Creek Kitchens does a full remodel, it has a cleaning crew that makes sure the job is left in the condition prior to our arrival.”
Running a business that has traditionally been dominated by men, Zuckerman has had to work a little harder to create the success she’s now enjoying. “I have been swimming upstream since I got involved in construction in 1980. I never thought about my ability to succeed at anything -- I just always set a goal and went after it,” explains Zuckerman.
“There were challenges along the way, but I had a husband who always supported my decisions, encouraged me and helped with the kids, too. I found out early on that one’s physiology makes no difference in one’s ability to succeed,” confirms Zuckerman. She is quick to add that the only thing that really matters is if one knows what he/she is talking about with regard to their business and area of expertise. “A man will always respect a woman if this is the case, and it is definitely much easier today for any woman to do anything she wants to do.”
The Timber Creek Kitchens showroom is located about ½ mile north of North Georgia Premium Outlets on Georgia 400, just past the Highway 53 intersection, on the right. The address is 278 Highway 400 North, Suite 1110, Dawsonville. The 4,000 square-foot showroom is brimming with beautiful product and ideas for customers who are building a home or looking for changes to their existing homes. Timber Creek Kitchens also offers an extensive line of stone and solid surface countertops, as well as Viking appliances, backsplash options, and cabinet lighting and hardware in the fully decorated showroom. Timber Creek serves the commercial industry as well.

Timbercreek Kitchens is no longer in business, and closed their offices earlier this year.
