Uncle Shuck’s Corn Maze and Pumpkin Patch has been recognized as one of the most popular corn mazes in America, and it's right here in Dawsonville. The 20-acre "agri-tainment" complex in Dawson County offers a variety of activities, from hayrides to bonfires to adventures in the cornfield. The four miles of living pathways among cornstalks was cut this week into a celestial pattern of a crescent moon, sunburst and stars. You have to see it! The corn is currently six feet tall, but will continue to grow in the hot weather to 10-12 feet.
The sixth season at Uncle Shucks begins on September 1 and complex expects close to 40,000 patrons for Fall 2007. The Kiddie KORNer has been expanded with a mini soybean maze, hay bales and corn box for children. Returning favorites include the popular haunted trails and Pumpkin Patch in October, weekend hayride/bonfire combo ticket and Harvest Days for three weekends in November.
The maze, seasonal pumpkin patch and other onsite activities are open for 12 consecutive weekends, from September 1 till November 18, 2007. Uncle Shuck’s Corn Maze and Pumpkin Patch is open every day in October.
