Bring your family and friends out to 'Movies in the Park' at the Rock Creek Sports Complex in Dawsonville this Friday, June 8, 2007.  This is a good, wholesome way to spend a summer evening in Dawsonville.

Open Season will be shown and appeals to all ages.  Here's a quick review:

Boog is a happily domesticated 900-pound grizzly bear who has his comfortable world as the star of a local nature show turned upside down when he is stranded out in the woods at the beginning of hunting season. He must join forces with a fast-talking wild mule deer named Elliot until Beth, a local forest ranger, can find them.

All movies start at dusk on a huge inflatable movie screen, and the fun starts at 6:00 pm. Kids will enjoy a free clown show by NoJoe's Clown Circus, and an inflatable moonwalk and slide will be available as well.

Bring a lawn chair or blanket from which to view the movie.  Guests are invited to bring their own food or visit the Park's concession stand.  Please note that no glass containers or alcohol are allowed in the park.

All movie events are FREE due to sponsorship from local companies, including Northside Hospital, Dawson County Parks & Recreation and Dawson News & Advertiser.
