Whether you are an expert ornithologist or a beginning birdwatcher, the Birds of North America Online database (BNA Online) promises to give you all the information you ever needed about our feathered friends. The comprehensive database allows Chestatee Regional Library System cardholders to search by species and common names of birds.
“In addition, BNA Online contains image and video galleries showing behaviors, habitat, nests, eggs and nestlings and more. And each online species account contains recordings of that bird's songs and calls, selected from Cornell's Macaulay Library of Natural Sounds” (from http://bna.birds.cornell.edu.bnaproxy.birds.cornell.edu/bna).
To access this informative resource, visit www.chestateelibrary.org, click on the Birds of North America Database link, and enter your library card number. Then grab your binoculars, perch by the feeder, and see who is coming to visit.
