11Alive Announces Atlanta’s Biggest Loser Contest

Published Aug 26, 2008

Exciting News for fans of NBC’s smash hit reality show Biggest Loser!  Starting Monday, August 25, you have a chance to achieve your own weight loss dreams in Atlanta’s Biggest Loser Contest. Patterned after NBC’s Biggest Loser on WXIA-TV, 11Alive, Atlanta’s Biggest Loser Contest will follow twelve local finalists who will compete to lose the greatest percentage of weight over a twelve week competition. Log onto www.atlbiggestloser.com to enter and for specific contest details.

The competition will officially begin on Monday, September 22nd, 2008 with twelve Atlanta’s Biggest Loser contestants divided into rival teams of six. Each team will work out with one of our two fitness partners, The American Boot Camp Company or Adrenaline Fitness and Wellness, and throughout the competition, all 12 contestants will receive a 5-day a week meal plan from Good Measure Meals absolutely free.

Every Wednesday on 11Alive’s Atlanta & Company (weekdays at 11:00am) with hosts Holly Firfer and Tom Sullivan, the Atlanta’s Biggest Loser sponsors will chart the contestants’ progress. On alternate Wednesdays, finalists from either the Blue Team or the Red Team will weigh-in and the two with the lowest percentage loss of body weight will be vulnerable for elimination through an on-line voting contest on www.atlbiggestloser.com.

Be sure to check out 11Alive's expanded Atlanta’s Biggest Loser coverage on atlbiggestloser.com; plus, even if you’re not chosen as one of the twelve finalists, you can still sign up to be on the Atlanta’s Biggest Loser e-team, and receive weekly updates and encouragement for your own weight loss goals.

Atlanta’s Biggest Loser contest is sponsored by WXIA-TV, 11Alive, WellStar Health Systems, Good Measure Meals, The American Boot Camp Company, Adrenaline Fitness and Wellness and the Daza Dance Academy.
