As toddlers play with blocks and puzzles, infants nap peacefully, and older children quietly work on their letters and numbers, the atmosphere at Lil’ Angels Learning Academy is much like any loving home and the organization of caregivers as they go about their day makes it obvious this learning-based day care center is focused on learning.
Lil’ Angels Learning Academy, formerly Dawson County Child Development, opened a year ago to serve children six weeks to 12 years in the Dawson, Lumpkin, and Forsyth areas. Owned and operated by Ann Mullinax, a 30-year child care veteran, Lil’ Angels Learning Academy strives to provide children a comfortable place to learn and grow. The center meets both the physical and educational needs of children by providing educated, first-aid trained instructors to lead an innovative curriculum where children learn through play.
Open weekdays from 6:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Lil’ Angels provides USDA approved meals and snacks, a private pre-K program, and after school care with homework help and tutoring. Art and music are part of all classes and special events, like their upcoming Chirstmas Contada and visit with Santa, are routinely incorporated.
Lil’ Angels Learning Academy currently has openings and parents interested in enrollment can visit their center at 96 Academy Ave. in Dawsonville, call (706) 265-3218, or visit www.lilangelslearningacademy.com for more information. Those who enroll by the end of December for at least eight weeks will receive their 1st and 5th weeks free.
