I recently reported on the quality Sauvignon Blanc wines coming out of New Zealand, so that when a local distributor wanted to close one out to make room for the new vintage, we bought half of what they had left. This would be the 2005 Seven Terraces Sauvignon Blanc. I of course, sampled the wine before we bought it and I thought it was wonderful.
The Wine Spectator scores this wine an 89, and described it as "Lithe and lively. A juicy mouthful of lime-scented apple, with hints of licorice and pepper as the flavors linger. Drink now."

I felt that this wine is definitely an 89-90 score and a real value at only $11.99, since it was released to sell at the fifteen to sixteen dollar range.
