What could be better for Mother's Day than a bottle of superior quality white wine? We have a Pinot Grigio which I think is one of the very best available in the Atlanta area. It is clean and crisp with that wonderful fragrance which we look for in a quality Pinot Grigio. The finish is smooth and dry without too much acidity, but in perfect balance with the outstanding flavor of the wine.
The 2007 Maso Canali Pinot Grigio is exactly what a lot of other wines want to be. It has an aromatic nose bursting with bouquets of spring flowers and ripe pears. The flavor is very much apricot, but with underlying currents of honey and apple. The finish is very clean and smooth with the true Pinot Grigio characteristic of lingering apricots and tropical fruits. The finish in any good Pinot Grigio always reminds me of golden apples, apricots and a hint of citrus.
This is definitely a dinner wine, which would pair well with most shellfish dishes, especially Shrimp Fettuccine Alfredo. We have this wine on special for Mother's Day.

The 2006 was really good. I hope this one is as good. Can't wait to try it! Marice
