We have a treat for all of our friends and valued customers. We will have a private tour and tasting at Blackstock Vineyards near Dahlonega, Georgia on Sunday, September 14, 2008. This event will include sampling some of their best wines with an assortment of gourmet breads and cheeses.
There will be a guided tour of the winery and the vineyards conducted by David Harris, owner and winemaker at Blackstock. We will be visiting the Vineyards right before harvest, and the vines will be fat with grapes! This is a wonderful opportunity, and we hope you can make it.
Mark your calendar now for Sunday September 14, 2008, 2 – 4 pm. The cost is $20 per person, which can be paid in person at the store -- or you can call World Beverage and we can charge your credit card. Ask for Norm, Tim or Karl.
One of my Blackstock favorites is the 2004 Blackstock Merlot. It is round and smooth with the taste of cherries and blackberries with moderate tannins in the finish. Great with lamb, beef, or veal, it is better than most California Merlots in its price range.
See you at Blackstock!
