The Dawson County Humane Society (DCHS) received a check from a supporter who wishes to remain anonymous. This check is in the amount of $10,000. It is designated for the organization's Building Fund, which is around the halfway point of the Humane Society's half-million dollar project.

The DCHS has also received a 'letter of intent' from another supporter who wishes to remain anonymous as well for a quarter-million dollar line of credit. According to local veterinarian and member of the DCHS, Doc Mills, "We hope to avoid taking advantage of that line of credit if our fundraising efforts continue to be successful. Our recent donor recognizes the dire need for an animal shelter in Dawson County and acknowledges that the Humane Society has no use for a burden of debt to build the place." He continued, "We applaud the vision and compassion of such people like these two suppporters. Others like these people live in our community and are encouraged to step to the plate for the sake of the homeless animals of Dawson County."
