Looking for a good time and a way to help the animals at the same time? Then please grab your canine (and other humans) and join us for the Second Annual Atlanta Lint Roller Party. Here's the scoop:
When: Saturday, February 25, 2006, 7:00 pm
Where: 1456 Northside Drive, Atlanta, 30318 (Wag-A-Lot's Midtown West location)
What: Second annual Atlanta Lint Roller Party 2006, presented by The Evercare Company; more than 400 guests and their canines are expected to attend.
Why: To benefit Lifeline Animal Project. LAP is a non-profit organization working to humanely end pet overpopulation in Atlanta.
Tickets: $50 each or $450 for a table of 10
Partnering with Best Friend Animal Society, Lifeline Animal Project spearheads the "No More Homeless Pets" Atlanta campaign, a grass roots effort to stop the euthanasia of healthy and treatable cats and dogs by promoting homeless pet adoptions, spay/neuter programs and public awareness. And the Atlanta Lint Roller Party will benefit efforts of LAP.
"Guest" dogs to the Atlanta Lint Roller event will receive a stylish bow or dashing bowtie and will get to socialize in the V.I.C. (Very Important Canine) Lounge. The V.I.C. Lounge will feature a booth for commemorative photographs and to keep the dogs in top partying form, the lounge will be stocked with designer dog treats.
Two live bands, including the Breeze Kings, are on the agenda, as well as a giant tequila bar with a 500-pound ice sculpture of a dog with tequila running off of its tongue.
A silent auction will feature fabulous items from stores like Cartier (beautiful Santos watch), Crate & Barrel (furniture), Silk Trading Company (silk drapery and antique furniture), Restoration Hardware, Polo/ Ralph Lauren, Smith & Hawken, Bungalow and Ikea (five sets of living room furniture!).
A walk-on role in the new Halle Berry/ Bruce Willis film shooting in New York city at this time, "Perfect Strangers," is probably the most unique auction item available! The winner of this item will also receive two round-trip tickets to New York and the opportunity to be in a scene shot at the Rainbow Room with both Halle and Bruce.
Meet celebrity chairs Vern Yip from Trading Spaces and Thomas Roberts, CNN Headline News anchor, as well.
A sumptuous vegetarian buffet, upscale spirits, fine wines and delicious desserts will be served for human companions. And Corazon Tequila de Agave returns this year with their legendary margarita bar. Live music and our premier silent auction featuring travel packages, original artwork, gift certificates to Atlanta's finest restaurants and more will complete the evening's can't-miss entertainment.
