The Amicalola Handicap Access Trail built along the Amicalola River in 2007-8 will be dedicated and officially opened on Monday, April 21 at 11:00 AM. This trail is on the Dawson Forest property of the DNR. This is one of the very few handicap trails built to American Disabilities Act (ADA) standards.
A grant from the GA Recreational Trails Program paid for the construction of this trail. The trail was built by the Mountain Stewards in partnership with the DNR.
Ken Riddleburger, Region II Supervisor, Game Management, Wildlife Resources Division is in charge of the ceremony.
