Together for Life, Georgia's Right to Life Annual Memorial will take place on Tuesday, January 22, 2008 at the Georgia State Capitol. People from all over the state are expected to gather with fellow citizens who value life, according to organizers of the event. Together for Life is held every year on the anniversary of the Supreme Court decision legalizing abortion on demand in all nine months of pregnancy in the United States.
Guest speakers of Together for Life are Gary Bauer, President of American Values; Atlanta Archbishop Wilton Gregory; and Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee. Governor Sonny Perdue and First Lady have also been invited to attend.
The schedule of events are as follows:
11:30 a.m. --Praise and Worship at the State Capitol Steps
12:00 p.m. -- Memorial Service for the Unborn
1:00 p.m. -- Silent Memorial Walk through downtown Atlanta (1 mile)
