'Living Stones' to be Presented at Pinecrest Academy by Dr. Bowring of Southern Catholic College

Published Oct 3, 2007

Have you ever wondered what makes being Catholic so unique?  Do you want to truly understand the basics of the Bible and the Catechism? What about the role that Jesus, Mary and the angels and saints have in your daily life?  And do you ever ask yourself how you can be more holy?

If you've pondered these and other questions or are merely curious about the Catholic faith, you are cordially invited to attend A Condensed Presentation of Living Stones, a dynamic course teaching the foundations of the Catholic Faith --a program of discipleship in Christ that forms living stones of faith (1 Peter 2:4-5).

Dr. Kelly Bowring, S.T.D., of Southern Catholic College in Dawsonville and Pinecrest Academy in Cumming, will be leading the course, offering five classes for 2007-2008 on the following Sunday evenings:  Oct. 7, Oct. 14, Oct. 21, Nov. 4 and Nov. 11.

All classes are held 6:30-8:30 p.m. in Building F at Pinecrest Academy in Forsyth County.  The cost is $100 ($80 for accompanying spouse), and babysitting is available for $30 per family for all five sessions (babysitting fees will benefit the girls' Challenge Club organization).

Please register at the first class or contact Diana Bowring at (678) 656-1664 or dianabowring@bellsouth.net.

"Every layperson is called to have a complete and solid knowledge of Catholic doctrine, for which we must answer to God… the time we spend on our formation is a gauge of the real place we give to God in our lives.” (Fr. Maciel)
