The Dawson County Chamber of Commerce will present a workshop entitled “Financing Your Business in the New Economy” on Monday, May 18, 8:30 a.m. till noon.  Entrepreneurs and those considering starting or expanding a business may benefit from new financing options. 

The Chamber event will be held at the North Georgia Event Center, 31 Successful Way, Dawsonville, GA.  Traveling north on GA Hwy 400, turn right on Carlisle Road (at Applebee’s), and proceed to the top of the hill to the events center (formerly 84 Lumber building).
 
The workshop will begin at 8:30 a.m. with a light breakfast and conclude at noon. Speakers and panelists include representatives from the Small Business Development Center, Appalachian Community Enterprises, Inc., The Economic Development Corporation, SunTrust Bank, Community Bank & Trust and USDA-Rural Development Loans.

Pre-registration is $15 per person, and Dawson County Chamber members will also receive a $5 coupon redeemable at a future membership meeting. Walk-ins are welcome at $69 per person.
