Petitions Issued to Convenience Stores Selling Drug Paraphernalia

Published Nov 11, 2008

The Meth Task Force for Dawson County presented petitions to four convenience stores in Dawson County that were selling drug paraphernalia. Two stores removed these items, and two refused.

After due process, the Meth Task Force of Dawson County, churches and concerned citizens will be at one of the convenience stores on November 13 from 4:00 until 6:00 pm. Citizens are asked to look for the groups' signs of protest. They will be located on GA Hwy. 400 and Hwy. 53 West, near the Chevron Store beside McDonald's in the Ingle's Shopping Center.

Anyone wishing to join us in our fight is welcome to meet us at The Father's House, located at 139 Hightower Parkway, Suite 100.  We will leave around 3:45 p.m. to arrive at our destination. All are encouraged to bring signs.
