Montaluce Estate and Vineyards for February and March 2009:

EVERY FRIDAY & SATURDAY EVENING: Affordable Luxury Menu at Ristorante Le Vigne. Special three-course menu for $28 per person. Wine pairings and a la carte dining also available.

EVERY SATURDAY: Winery tours with Montaluce's Vineyard Manager, Oliver Asberger. 12PM, 2PM and 4PM. Join Asberger for in-depth tour of Montaluce's state-of-the-art winemaking facilities and go behind the scenes to see how Georgia's newest winery really works.

FEBRUARY

WINE U: On Saturday afternoons at 4PM throughout the month of February, guests are invited to discover Piedmont at Montaluce’s 50-foot wine bar. The regal wines of Italy's Piedmont are the most misunderstood--and the most beguiling. Unravel the mystery with Montaluce's Sommelier Chad Ortis. $25 per person. During February, the Tasting Room will also feature a special Piedmont wine tasting flight.

SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 14, ST. VALENTINE'S DAY: 5:30-9:30PM. Reservations recommended.
Bring your sweetheart and join us in the beautiful dining room at Le Vigne for a fireside, romantic five-course menu. A special wine pairing option will also available featuring artisan Champagne producer Billecart-Salmon. Guests are invited to join Oliver Asberger--Montaluce's Vineyard Manager for barrel room reception preceding dinner. $75 per person

SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 21, 2009, 4PM: Special 20 for $20 Wine U, 4PM-6PM
Join Montaluce's Sommelier Chad Ortis for a casual, fun filled afternoon with an array of excellent 'every day,' wines. Stock your wine cellar with delicious wines you can afford to drink every day. Enjoy the 20 wines in this tasting and we'll deduct $20 from any retail case purchase. Later that evening, wines from the 20 for $20 tasting will be available for guests to pair with dinner at Ristorante Le Vigne.

SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 28, OPEN THAT BOTTLE NIGHT, 5 PM
Join special guest Atlanta Journal-Constitution wine writer Gil Kulers for an evening to uncork that cherished bottle of wine you've been saving for just the right occasion. Every year since 2000, people around the world have gathered to pop the cork on a special bottle of wine that has been saved 'for a special occasion.' Kulers will host a contest through the newspaper to find the person with the best story behind their special bottle. Guests will gather at 5PM, open their special bottles and share their stories. There is no cost to attend and guests are encouraged to enjoy a special menu at Ristorante Le Vigne following the reception.

WINE U: Saturdays at 4PM: On Saturday afternoons throughout the month of March, guests will discover Italy's famed Tre Venezie--the aromatic and piercing wines from Friuli and the powerful masterpieces from Amarone.

SATURDAY AND SUNDAY, MARCH 21 & 22, WINE HIGHWAY WEEKEND
Sponsored by the Winegrowers Association of Georgia, Wine Highway Weekend is a progressive tasting at North Georgia's farm wineries and affiliates. Guests participate by buying a collectors' “Wine Highway Weekend” glass for $10.00 at one of the participating wineries. At Montaluce, a full schedule of fun events will add to the day's festivities including a lineup of great live music and behind-the-scenes winery tours hosted by Vineyard Manager Oliver Asberger at 12PM, 2PM and 4PM. A special "WINE LOVER'S LUNCH" menu will feature wood-oven flat breads, panini and artisan cheese & charcuterie. And cap off the day of tasting off with dinner at Le Vigne featuring "Local Flair," three-course menu highlighting local ingredients for $35 per person. A la carte dining is also available. Complimentary mineral water, soft drinks and coffee will be available for designated drivers throughout both days.
