It's off to the Races!   On March 24, the Dawson County Chamber of Commerce will be hosting "The Dawsonville Derby" - a fun membership drive.  The Chamber is seeking three more teams of two to participate in this important membership drive from 8am - 4pm on the 24th. As an incentive to teams who participate, the winning team will receive a 'Picnic Box' prize package for four to the Atlanta SteepleChase on April 25.

The Chamber is allowing just 10 teams to enter, so the odds for winning are the best at the track. Teams will earn points for renewing existing members and signing up new members, and the team with the most points at the end of the day will win the prize package. Participants don't need to bring anything but a competitive spirit, and all materials and information will be provided that day. Teams will receive more details upon signing up.

The deadline to enter is March 20, and since there are only three slots left, they will be given on a first-come, first served basis.

The Chamber is also in need of $50 and $100 sponsors for the event. Sponsors and teams will receive press coverage in the April edition of the Chamber Chronicle.
