Dan-o, Marsha Brady, and Little Joe have all returned to television. WSB-TV Channel 2 launches Retro Television Network on its digital channel, 2.2. This year, as Channel 2 celebrates 60 years of serving Georgians with news and entertainment, the station has launched a new digital channel featuring classic television hits from over the years -- the 60’s, 70’s and 80’s.
Retro Television Network features a full schedule of television classics like Bonanza, Rockford Files, Hogan’s Heroes, Magnum PI, Hawaii 5-0, Get Smart, and others. Programmed for families, a whole new generation of kids can enjoy Little House on the Prairie and The Brady Bunch.
“Georgians love television. Classic television shows from the 60’s and 70’s speak to our community, and we believe folks will love this new channel,” said Bill Hoffman, VP and General Manager of WSB-TV.
In addition to numerous classic TV shows, Retro TV will also feature local nostalgic programming specials.
“We’re excited about providing a channel that the whole family can watch together,” said Art Rogers, Channel 2’s director of programming. “We'll take retro, classic network shows and mix in some of Channel 2’s rich history of local programming favorites.”
Effective immediately, the digital Retro TV channel is available over the air as well as on Comcast Cable channel 248. WSB-TV is one of many stations around the country that will feature this exciting, family-friendly channel.
The current programming schedule is on www.wsbtv.com. Channel 2, WSB-TV, is a Cox Television Station and ABC Affiliate.
