With so many critical issues being discussed in the Georgia Legislature this year, and subsequently with important decisions hanging in the balance that will affect the lives of Atlanta women and businesses, Atlanta Woman magazine is launching a new online channel to keep Atlantans current on pending bills and hot topics.

Newsworthy joins atlantawomanmag.com (www.atlantawomanmag.com) as an interactive source to provide weekly updates on the Georgia Assembly in 2008, as well as a place for forums to voice opinions, and resources to strengthen one's legislative knowledge.

Each week, Atlanta Woman will focus on hot-button issues, allowing online readers to garner a greater, in-depth understanding of bills that are shaping this year’s session and ultimately their lives. Polls will also be posted for pending legislation, along with results.  A special 'sound-off' section allows users to share thoughts and voice strong opinions about pending bills. Atlanta Woman magazine is partnering with Loretta Lepore, a Senior Advisor for McKenna Long & Aldridge law firm, to answer and address selected posts.

Newsworthy also aims to be a resource guide, offering general information about the Georgia Legislature, ways to contact government representatives and overviews of the law.
