The Tanger center has just embarked on a major expansion project that will ultimately add nearly 37,000 square feet to the current shopping center. The center’s new, free standing expansion area is scheduled to accommodate several new outlet brands. New stores scheduled to open at Tanger will include Loft, Gymboree and Skechers. Additional stores will be announced in the near future.

Since its opening in 1995 with 30 stores, the Tanger Outlet Center in Commerce has had a history of continued growth. Having expanded to its current collection of 75 stores, Tanger in Commerce attracts more than 4 million shoppers annually and has earned its reputation as one of the south’s top shopping destinations.

In Commerce, Tanger currently features such popular outlet stores as Polo Ralph Lauren, Nike, Tommy Hilfiger, Abercrombie & Fitch Outlet, Timberland, Brooks Brothers, Eddie Bauer Outlet and many more and is conveniently located on I-85 at Banks Crossing, exit 149. Tanger Town Centre, also located at the same exit off of I-85 in Commerce, features a mix of value retail, entertainment and outlet stores including Goody's Family Clothing, Old Navy, Reebok/Rockport Outlet, Petsense, Black & Decker and more.
