The Dawson County Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce several upcoming events happening this last week of March:
Appalachian Community Bank is hosting a food drive throughout the month of March; both bank locations will serve as drop-off points. Anyone bringing in canned goods will have a chance to vote for their favorite non-profit within the county -- a fun “competition of the non-profits” of sorts! Before 'Appreciation Day,' Appalachian will tally the votes to determine the winner. The organization that wins will have a chance to get into the money machine and grab cash for their cause.
March 24th, Dawsonville Derby Membership Drive. United Community Bank and First Citizens Bank will sponsor this important drive, and will receive a front page article in the Chamber Chronicle. Anyone else interested in being a sponsor is welcome to call Jennifer Baker at 706-265-3232 or Pam at the Chamber 706-265-6278. The drive winner that recruits the most members will receive a Picnic Box to the Atlanta Steeple Chase valued at $600!
March 24th BAH presents “Walk Around Downtown.” All are invited to meet at David Wallace & Associates to kick of this special Business After Hours event. Participating hosts are David Wallace & Associates, Paper Moon Antiques & More, Relax Massage, Dawsonville Family Chiropractic and Mason Dixon Embroidery & Screen Printing. The Cash Drawing is sponsored by AFLAC, Anderson Family Medicine, North Georgia Team Keller-Williams Realty, R&D Caulking, Inc. and United Community Bank. The cash amount is at $1,925.
