Spring has Sprung and the Events have begun!  Here's what the Dawson County Chamber of Commerce has on the calendar:

March 4-29th-- Dawson County Arts Council presents, Blackberry Artists Show. Visit www.dawsonarts.org for a full calendar of events.

March 13th -- Lunch with the Chamber – Teacher of the Year Awards! – It’s Teacher Appreciation Day! Join with us as we honor our school systems dedicated teachers. They are the BEST! Sponsored by the Chamber, Kroger, Coca-Cola Gainesville, Marcia & Douglas Darlow and B.J. Farley. Lunch will be held at Gold Creek Resort in the Swan Room at 12:00. Please call the chamber to RSVP no later than March 10th . Lunch is $12 with RSVP or $15 if you walk in.

March 14th- 16th -- The Outside World is having their 6th Annual Boat Expo.This includes a White Water Rodeo at 2pm, hot dogs, hamburgers and soft drinks. They are also having a huge sale during the Expo. Call 706.265.4500 for more info.

March 14th -- Dawson County Chapter 970 Vietnam Veterans of America will once again be traveling to Savannah this year, to join with Vietnam Veterans Chapters from around the State Of Georgia to march in the annual St Patrick’s Day parade . As always it is a moving event for Veterans to be given a Welcome Home, Savannah style.500,000 are expected at this years parade. Chapter members are looking forward to this event and this will be the third year that members of Chapter 970 will be able to attend. All Veterans are welcome to attend.

MARCH 15th -- Lots of News From Kangaroo Conservation Center!  OPEN FOR THE SEASON!  We encourage everyone to check out their redesigned website for all current tour and visitor information at www.kangaroocenter.com. Tickets can be purchased online! Looking forward to spring: KCC will be featured in the April issue of Delta's Sky Magazine, and we will be filming a feature story for CNN News soon. Keep hopping!
